Rambunctious

Meet Rambo! This handsome boy checks ALL the boxes at 5 years old! Friesian/Gypsy Vanner/Paint cross (registered Friesian). I cannot say enough good things about this sweet boy. His personality is so engaging--he's curious, goofy, and sometimes just wants to be cuddled. 

Under saddle he's such a great listener. He will walk quietly on a long rein around the arena, but as soon as you put your leg on, he's ready to work, bend, flex. He's learned how to move his body, step up under with his hocks, soften and move with his shoulder. His trot is so lovely--but that CANTER. I'm picky about pace, rhythm, and feel of the canter and I LOVE this boy's gait. He's got a sweet spot in the canter that is soft and flowing and amazing. 

Over fences he's SO CUTE. Below 2'3" he hops over without much thought (perfect for beginner/younger riders), but once you hit 2'6" those ears are forward, and knees are up. He doesn't have an auto lead change, but at 5 years old, he's got time to work on that and has given some lovely changes. We have started them and he's SO CLOSE. He has the athleticism to go higher, but I want to care for his young body, so we haven't jumped bigger than 2'6". 

I've ridden him in the hack locally (division champion as a 3 year old) and 2'6" hunters, but he's also taken beginners around the ground poles classes. He will trail ride, cross water, and do the hunter paces as well. He would be amazing as a dressage mount also.

He is only just beginning to show how amazing he is. He’s easy to load, bathe, mount, tack. Fun to ride for experienced rider as he is learning to use his body, but has taught baby beginner walk-trot lessons. Flexes, leg yields, adjustable, soft. Good with other horses, sweet personality, barn favorite…I could go on and on. He could excel in both the Hunter or Dressage arena. Perfect ammy horse/kids Hunter pony/professional's project etc. This guy is such a GEM.
